MANILA, Philippines - The Sandiganbayan will hear today the petitions of Senator Jinggoy Estrada and three of his co-accused in the plunder case in connection with the pork barrel scam.
Estrada is asking the anti-graft court to allow him to post bail. He is facing a non-bailable offense of plunder.
Aside from Estrada, the request of businesswoman Janet Napoles and her driver John Raymund de Asis to recall the warrants of arrest issued against them will be heard by the Fifth Division of the anti-graft court.
The two co-accused also have pending petitions for bail in the same division.
Estrada is now detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City while another of his co-accused, De Asis and the senator's staff Paulene Labayen remain at large.
Napoles is also detained at a police camp in Sta. Rosa, Laguna for illegal detention charges before the Makati City court.
The Sandiganbayan will also discuss in today's hearing the manifestation of the government prosecution panel to amend the information against the accused.
