MANILA, Philippines - Senator Ramon Revilla Jr.'s chief political staff on Friday surrendered to the Sandiganbayan after the anti-graft court issued an arrest warrant against him in connection with the pork barrel cases.
Lawyer Richard Cambe, along with his legal counsel Michael Ancheta, arrived at the Sheriff's Office at around 1:30 p.m. to submit himself for processing.
Ancheta, meanwhile, filed a motion before the anti-graft court's First Division asking that Cambe be ordered detained at the Philippine National Police's Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
Ancheta said they are concerned with Cambe's security.
As of this posting, the Sandiganbayan has yet to issue a commitment order for Revilla and Cambe.
A commitment order is issued by the court to put a person in custody.
