MANILA, Philippines - Tropical Depression Caloy turned into a low pressure area after making landfall in Surigao del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.
The weather bureau subsequently lifted all public storm signals, but still reminded fishing boats and other small seacrafts not to venture into the seaboards of northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
"Eastern Visayas and Caraga will continue to have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides," Pagasa added.
