MANILA, Philippines - In an effort to extend help and financial assistance to the thousands of Filipinos who have been displaced by Super Typhoon Yolanda, TV 5 will conduct a live fundraising telethon tonight starting at 9 p.m.
The Tulong Kapatid telethon will air from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. beginning with the live airing of The Mega and the Songwriter, with hosts Sharon Cuneta and Ogie Alcasid giving live musical performances to encourage people to “request and donate.â€
The live telethon will resume tomorrow during Good Morning Club from 5:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Kapatid talents will be manning over 30 phone lines to accept pledges and donations via the trunkline 689-3355.
