MANILA, Philippines - A graduate of University of Saint Louis-Tuguegarao topped the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.
With a score of 93.86 percent, Jackson Apostol bested the 10,396 examinees. Only 4,246 passed the licensure examination held in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi.
In second place is University of Santo Tomas (UST) graduate Loraine Santos, who scored 92.86 percent.
Placing third with a score of 92.57 percent are Christian John Rojo of University of Saint La Salle and Aljon Santos of Holy Angel University.
Carl Angelo Cupay of Father Saturnino Urios University, Ma. Monica de Cruz of De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila, Raymond Ong of University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman, and Michael Jim Polancos of Mindanao State University shared the fourth spot with a score of 92.29 percent each.
Xavier University graduate Ryan James Aban and DLSU Manila graduate Lynaira Ann Pineda landed in fifth place with a grade of 92.14 percent, while University of Saint Louis graduate Klyne Ally Peralta, UP Diliman graduate Jerelleen Rodriguez and Baliuag University graduate James Paul Sevilla bagged the sixth slot with a grade of 91.71 percent.
Seventh placers are Richard Joseph Baja Jr. of Liceo de Cagayan University, Alex Carinan of Bicol University, Juan Paulo Concha of UP Visayas and Carlo de Rueda of General de Jesus College with a grade of 91.57 percent.
University of the East (UE) graduate Austine Bernadette San Pedro Baron, Holy Angel University graduate Gieno Lee Ilagan, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines graduate Janine Peñaverde ranked eighth with a score of 91.43 percent.
Ninth placers with a score of 91.29 percent are Ricardo Caderao of UE Caloocan, Harvey Rey Callueng of UP Diliman, Reve Nina Eleazar also of UE Caloocan, Jerwin Marqueses of Far Eastern University, and Reysie Simbulan of UE Manila.
UST graduate Jayrod Natnat and Baliuag University graduate Laurence Paulo Tiquia ranked 10th with a grade of 91.14 percent.
The three-day registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on Nov. 4. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
