MANILA, Philippines - Saying many overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) remain on death row in Middle East countries, Migrante yesterday asked the Aquino administration to disclose its policy on blood money.
Migrante-Middle East regional director Johan Leonard Monterona said the families of these OFWs have been waiting for the response from the Department of Foreign Affairs-Offi ce of
the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs concerning the plight of their relatives on death row.
Monterona noted that Malacañang formed a technical working group last July to study the policy but since then they have not heard of proposals or measures to fi nd sources for the blood money of OFWs facing death in the Middle East.
