Final Bar exams to push through today

MANILA, Philippines - The last day of the Bar examinations will push through today at the De La Salle University in Taft Avenue, Manila, Supreme Court spokesperson Midas Marquez said yesterday.

“Bar exams will push through tomorrow (Oct. 4) as scheduled,” he said in a text message yesterday.

The last day of the Bar was originally scheduled on Sept. 27, but was rescheduled for today because of the flooding caused by tropical storm “Ondoy.”

Examinees will take Remedial Law in the morning and Legal Ethics and Practical Exerci-ses in the afternoon.

Examinees who lost their permits to storm Ondoy may now secure duplicate permits at the examination site.

Examinees should bring a recent 1x1 photo – or the same one used in their original permit – with their name printed on it, as well as a recent identification card with photo.

Upon arriving at the entrance gate of De La Salle University (DLSU), concerned examinees should immediately inform the guards so they will be allowed to enter the examination site.

They will be referred to personnel of the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC), or their respective building coordinators who will issue them duplicate permits after they’ve presented their photos and IDs.

In a related development, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that scheduled licensure examination for teachers (LET) is pushing through today.

LET was originally set last Sunday (Sept. 27), but was rescheduled for today, Oct. 4.

LET examinees nationwide should bring a valid ID to the examination centers where they had been enlisted.

Examination centers in Manila are public schools Ramon Magsaysay High School, Aurora Quezon Elementary School, Araullo High School, Legarda Elementary School, V. Mapa High School, Barrio Obrero Elementary School, Dr. Albert Elementary School and General M. Hizon Elementary School; and private colleges University of the East, Centro Escolar University, University of Sto. Tomas, Central Colleges of the Philippines, Manuel L.
