Singling out a limited number to receive the accolade Woman of Year has been difficult indeed. Much deliberation was held to choose those whose achievements and dedication toward exemplary goals were among the best we have seen. My congratulations to you on your nomination."
In the year 2000, Orosa was likewise among the few nominated by the International Biographical Center of Cambridge, England, "International Woman of the Year." Her international awards include two each from Germany and France, a UN Decade of Culture Award, a Canadian citation and a Mexican essay prize. In 1989, she served as juror in the journalism tilt in Madrid Premios Internacionales Rey de España.
