The agents also arrested two people inside Room 706 of the Summerset Condominium in Leveriza, Pasay.
NBI officer-in-charge Carlos Caabay identified one of the suspects as Maristela de los Reyes, 20, a dismissed janitress of the condominium. The male suspect, meanwhile, was not identified as he was still being interrogated as of late yesterday afternoon.
De los Reyes, who was dismissed from the condominium staff last October, told agents that she went back to the room to get some of the shabu she intended to sell.
She said she started sneaking out some of the shabu right after she was dismissed from the staff. She said she would wrap the shabu in newspapers to hide it from other people.
According to the dismissed janitress, the room where the drugs were kept was registered under the name of a Chinese national. It has been left unattended since October.
The NBI is now coordinating with the operators of the condominium to track down the suspect.
NBI agents said the room could have been used as a warehouse by suspected members of the 14-K Chinese drug syndicate.
The raid was conducted following a tip by the condominiums security guards. The illegal drugs were found inside several large suitcases and plastic bags.
NBI chemists are now trying to determine the purity of the seized drugs. Mike Frialde
