Kate Valdez ‘fangirls’ over ‘lookalike’ Liza Soberano

MANILA, Philippines — “Oh yes! Thank you so much!”

It was like Kapuso star Kate Valdez won a Best Actress award when Philstar.com asked her at a recent exclusive interview if she is willing to work with her supposed lookalike, Liza Soberano.

“Opo naman! Yes na yes! Ngayon palang, ready na ‘ko!” Valdez exclaimed while being interviewed at the newly revamped Levi’s store in SM Makati as part of the label’s rollout of its Next-Gen store.

She admitted that many people have told her she looked like Liza. Although she could not see the resemblance, she is still thankful for the comparison.

“Marami po (ang nagsabi), pero hindi ko po makita, pero thank you po!” said Kate, who is yet to meet her supposed doppelganger in person.

If given a chance to meet Liza, Kate hoped she and the former Kapamilya star would act together as siblings.

“Since maraming nagsasabing magkamukha kami, baka pwede nang magkadugo!” Kate affirmed, “Pwede na! Tatawid na!”

When asked what is her favorite Liza movie or TV show so far, Kate declared with two thumbs up: “’Forevermore’! Kilig na kilig ako!”

Kate stars alongside Kyline Alcantara in the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean drama series “Shining Inheritance.”

As the first shop-in-shop channel in the Philippines to embrace the updated format, Levi’s SM Makati sets a new benchmark in providing an immersive, modern, and convenient shopping experience in the bustling Makati area.

The revamped store stands out within the SM Store premises with advanced digital features, attractive displays of Levi’s merchandise, and the Levi’s Tailor Shop which will feature an artist who can bring every denim lover’s customization dreams to life. The artist feature is unique to Levi’s stores located in select premium SM Supermalls. It’s a convenient hub where customers can personalize their denim pieces by adding patches, embroidery, and other creative touches, strengthening their connection with the brand.

Levi’s in SM aims to continue transforming more branches into dynamic spaces, offering a seamless shopping journey that encourages creativity and personalization.
