MANILA, Philippines — ABS-CBN’s news programs “TV Patrol” and “TV Weekend” will start airing on ALLTV this April.
Anchored by veteran newscasters Noli de Castro, Karen Davila, Bernadette Sembrano, and Henry Omaga-Diaz, the flagship Kapamilya newscast “TV Patrol” will air from Mondays to Fridays at 6:30 p.m., starting today.
This marks the return of the country’s longest-running primetime newscast to Channel 2, a frequency previously held by ABS-CBN, but has since been assigned to the Manny Villar-owned ALLTV after the Kapamilya network lost its broadcast franchise in 2020.
Meanwhile, viewers can also catch the weekend edition, “TV Patrol Weekend,” anchored by Alvin Elchico and Zen Hernandez, every Saturday and Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
The inclusion of “TV Patrol” on ALLTV expands its reach across various platforms, including free TV, cable, and satellite TV.
The local news program remains accessible on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, ABS-CBN News on YouTube, ANC, Teleradyo Serbisyo, and DWPM on AM radio.
This development came almost four years after the Congress denied the Kapamilya network’s franchise renewal application last July 2020 following the cease-and-desist order issued against the media giant in May 2020.
