Since entering the entertainment business through The Voice Teens in 2017, Kapamilya music artist Jeremy Glinoga, also known as Jeremy G, considers releasing his debut album titled Late Night Madness as a career highlight.
Late Night Madness is made up of eight songs, including Dance Baby, BINI, OCD, Pabalik, Aking Anghel, Di Na Tayo Ganun, Wag Mong Sabihin, and Sinayang Mo. It was released under Star Music and is available on various streaming platforms.
The singer-songwriter shared in a press interview that his fans have been asking for a full-length album for so long. “I’ve been wanting to give them a full-length album but I wasn’t able to because of my personal capabilities in songwriting or singing sometimes. But I’m so happy that the time is here and for them to enjoy this alongside me. It means the world to me,” he mused.
When the album was launched, Jeremy got emotional, saying, “It’s been a while to get ready and to prepare. And now that it’s here, I don’t really know how to feel. It’s just that I wanna do my best and perform it. And hopefully everyone has been listening to it and liked it so far.”
The Lyric and Beat actor also shared the story behind the title Late Night Madness. As he recalled, “It came to be because every single one of these songs, whether it was recording or writing it, all happened midnight onwards or late night onwards. So that’s where the late aspect came in. And the madness came about because of the emotions that you feel throughout this whole album. You’ll be happy at first, you’ll be in love sa mga gitna and toward the end, hindi ko alam kung iiyak kayo or hindi.”
It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and “the vibes are basically a throwback,” continued Jeremy. “It’s going from my first EP which is maybe forever and to this, which also has a throwback feel like ‘90s R&B and ‘80s as well.”
It was hard to pick a personal favorite from the album, admitted Jeremy. But one of them is the party tune Sinayang Mo, as well as the key track OCD, music and lyrics-wise.
He told The STAR, “And that’s the track (OCD) that basically started this whole album because after that, I wanted to capture the sound that it had. That’s when Sinayang Mo came, BINI came, everything. So I kinda pattern this whole album once I had that one song down. I guess OCD is my favorite now.”
If Jeremy were to name his dream collaborations, it would be with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Sarah Geronimo, Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Erik Santos, and other OPM icons. For international artists, the top of his list are Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Brian McKnight, and John Legend.
