MANILA, Philippines — Nicole Borromeo of Cebu was proclaimed Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 at the close of the glitzy rites at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 31.

She was crowned by outgoing queen Hannah Arnold, who will be competing in Japan in December.

Despite her absence at the press presentation after testing positive for COVID-19, Nicole managed to get her groove back through the phases of the competition. She will, however, compete in next year's Miss International pageant.

Nicole is no stranger to pageants. The interior design student was also crowned Miss Millennial Philippines 2019, Miss Millennial Cebu 2019, Sinulog Festival Queen 2019 and Reyna Ng Aliwan 2019.

Roberta Angela "RoAn" Tamondong of San Pablo, Laguna was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2022 by outgoing titleholder Samantha Alexandra Panlilio.

The forthcoming Grand International pageant in Indonesia this October will be RoAn's second international pageant after winning the Miss Eco Teen International title in 2019. She was also named Miss PAL at the start of the show.

Last year's 1st runner-up, Gabrielle Camille Basiano of Borongan, Eastern Samar, finally won a Binibini crown and was named Binibining Pilipinas InterContinental 2022.  She was crowned by reigning Miss InterContinental Cinderella Faye Obeñita. She will try to win the crown again at the 50th edition of the Miss InterContinental pageant to be held in October in Egypt.

She also won the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown awards; the latter she also won in last year's competition. Gabrielle, or Gabby to fans, has consistently wowed fans with her costumes. At the coronation, she wore her trending long gown which she describes as a number that "speaks to my personality of taking risks and being unconventional."

She will also try to bring back the crown at the Miss Globe pageant to be held in Albania in October.

Like most of her fellow newly crowned queens, Chelsea is a seasoned beauty pageant contestant. She was crowned Miss Bikini Philippines 2020 and was named Miss Philippines Water at the 2019 Miss Philippines Earth pageant.

Crowd favorite Herlene Nicole Budol of Angono, Rizal and Stacey Daniella Gabriel of Cainta, Rizal were named runners-up in descending order.

Budol received the lion's share of the corporate and special awards. She was named Binibining Shein, Binibining Pizza Hut, Jag Denim Queen, Binibining Silka, Manila Bulletin's Readers' Choice Award, and Binibining World Balance.
