The comedian performed for the Kawayan festival before he was rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital and died.
In his almost half an hour performance where he sang “Kahit Maputi na ang Buhok Ko,” Chokoleit was seen having difficulty in breathing. This was also witnessed by one of the guests of the festival, Carl Guevarra of local band The Juans, who performed before the comedian went on stage.
One of Chokoleit’s last words was deemed as a premonition as he joked that the crowd might not get to see him perform if he goes last.
“Siyempre, ako ang mauuna! Kasi kung ako huli, baka hindi ko na kayo abutan!"
