MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso star Marian Rivera recently shared photos of the baby shower she and husband Dingdong Dantes threw for their baby no. 2.
In a series of Instagram posts, Marian showed the lavish feast they prepared to celebrate the coming of their baby boy.
“I really like last night’s set up! From the smoke effect, to the balloons, to the flowers and table settings— saktong-sakto! It felt really clean, heavenly, bright and light. An experience that i would like to relive to my son one day through these memorable photos,” she said.
Robert Blancaflor, the event’s stylist, explained that the Dantes couple chose the theme “Over the Moon” for the baby shower because “When you are ‘Over the Moon’ in excitement and anticipation over the arrival of a new baby, a baby shower in that very theme is a wonderful way to celebrate.”
“We created dream-like vignettes with balloon installations and fresh flowers to take Marian and Ding Dong’s guests to another dimension, one filled with clouds and fantasy scenes. Our @18th.ph pieces brought elegance and sophistication to the setup, with our S-shape table styled to perfection and filled with fresh Ecuadorean Gypsophillas. Such a beautiful, artistic way to welcome a new addition to this loving family!” he noted.
The party’s food stations, with desserts by Bizu Catering and cake by Mark Christian of Naked Patisserie, seem like the “main event” on their own, said the actress.
This love month, Bizu brings back Romance, its signature heart-shaped Valentine’s Day cake composed of layers of moist sponge cake, creme brûlée, caramel, chocolate ganache, then topped with whole fresh strawberries. Its best-selling seasonal Strawberry Chiboust also gets the hearts-day treatment. The French-style cheesecake, designed to be lighter and fluffier compared to the denser New York-style cheesecake, has been topped with strawberries and raspberry coulis.
The patisserie, with branches in Greenbelt 2, Greenhills Promenade, Alabang Town Center, St. Luke’s Global City, Robinson’s Magnolia (Le Petit Bizu) and Eastwood Mall (Bizu Creperie), is also proud of its Valentin Macaron de Paris in a deep blush hue and salted caramel center. The confection dipped in chocolate and dusted with almond praline.
All the sweets aside, the cherry on the icing during the baby shower was the song number of Marian and Dingdong’s eldest daughter, Zia.
“Bukod daw sa singing ni Zia, gustong-gusto ng mga bisita ang pagkain kagabi,” Marian shared.
“We are sooo excited for the arrival of the boy who will surely rock our world. Grabe ang pasasalamat ko to all our friends, katrabaho, and family for sharing this excitement with us. Thank you for showering us with your love. Literally, we are over the moon to be surrounded by people like you.”
