MANILA, Philippines — Actress Marian Rivera was honored as one of Cavite’s outstanding women leaders for her achievements and significant contributions to the province.
The Kapuso star shared Friday on Instagram that she was awarded with a plaque for her contributions in the field of entertainment this year.
"Taos puso po akong nag papasalamat para sa karangalang ito. Mabuhay ang mga kababaihan," Marian said.
The award was given last March 23 during the celebration of Women’s Month at the provincial gymnasium in Trece Martires, Cavite.
Others who received the award include Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola for her local governance achievements and Nerissa Naig-Miranda for her contributions in business and entrepreneurship.
Marian is known for superheroine roles such as Darna, Super Inday, Nieves the engkanto slayer, Amaya, Kung Fu Diva and the recently defunct action-fantasy series Super Ma'am.
