MANILA, Philippines — Bea Alonzo doesn't want to rush things between her and Gerald Anderson.
The two became an item in 2010, but was cut short due to people surrounding the relationship, according to the former couple.
Recently, the two have been able to work with each other closely on the movie "How to be Yours." Bea, however, does not want to rush into a possible romance with her former beau.
"Ba't ba kayo nagmamadali? May taxi ba sa baba?" she said in jest on Thursday, when asked if she believes they have a chance to rekindle their romance.
On a more serious note she added: "Hindi ko alam, masyado pang maaga."
However, the Kapamilya actress didn't deny that it feels "surreal" that people now say they look good together, while in the past it was not the case.
"Who would have thought na after six years sasabihin ng mga tao na, 'uy, bagay kayo,'" she explained. "Kasi kapag maraming tao ang nagsasabi sa inyo na hindi kayo bagay paniniwalaan mo 'yon somehow, kahit pinaglalaban mo siya."
"So, weird people are saying these things right now, pero very interesting," she added.
Bea, meanwhile, said she is flattered to know that Vice President Leni Robredo confessed to being her fan. The country's second top official even attend the premiere night of "How to be Yours" on Tuesday. Robredo was invited by the sister of director Dan Villegas, who co-directed the film.
"Nag-attend ng premier night ko ang VP, puwede ko na i-tick 'yon sa bucket list ko," she said. "I feel flattered, isa pa siya sa maagang dumating sa premier, on time talaga siya."
"How to be Yours" is playing in cinemas nationwide.
