MANILA, Philippines – When one of the most powerful villains in the DC Comics universe — the immortal Vandal Savage — threatens the existence of billions of people, the Earth needs more than just your typical, everyday superheroes; it needs legends. Prepare to see the world’s greatest assemble for humankind’s ultimate battle as the much-anticipated legendary DC team-up series comes to Warner TV this month, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow opens with time-travelling rogue, Time Master Rip Hunter in 2166. Hunter sees the immortal Vandal Savage on the verge of his final victory — bringing total chaos and the utter destruction. The abomination pushes Hunter to take matters into his own hands and travels 150 years into the past to assemble a team of carefully-selected heroes and rogues to stop Savage.
The 16-episode series features a combination of characters and even villains from Warner TV’s other hit superhero series — The Flash and ARROW — along with new heroes from the DC Comics pantheon. It includes billionaire inventor Ray Palmer, who has created an exo-suit with the power to shrink him to miniscule size, as The Atom; Sara Lance, a trained assassin, as the White Canary; Prof. Martin Stein and Jefferson “Jax” Jackson, who together form the meta-human Firestorm; Leonard Snart, known as Captain Cold, and his partner Mick Rory, a.k.a. Heat Wave, who comprise a pair of career criminals; and Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall, a.k.a. Hawkgirl and Hawkman.
Get ready for an epic story that lives in an interconnected universe and experience a high-stakes “feature film” with edge-of-your-seat action, time travel, seamless visual effects and infectiously fun character dynamics that is like a crossover of The Flash and ARROW… times a hundred.
Catch DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, premiering on the same day as the US, on Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. and every Friday after that on Warner TV.
