MANILA, Philippines – It’s both likely that this barkada is making waves all over our feeds. Coming together from different camps within the industry would seem like a mismatch, but a little bit of spunk from dancing, a knack for hosting and a stellar acting career seem to work more than we think it could.
Even as today’s showbiz world would feast on network and management rivalry, this barkada proves that at the end of the day, it doesn’t and shouldn’t matter. What’s more important is to focus on the genuine connections that they share.
Find out the #NewestBarkadaCraze that binds JM de Guzman, Robi Domingo, Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras together.
Coming from more or less the same generation, what was your favorite craze from the ‘90s?
Yassi: Being an MTV Pinoy VJ myself, I would say MTV was a huge part of my childhood, I know I was still too young then, but still! I loved watching it.
Robi: Yeah, that’s true. When I had my short stint as a MYX VJ back then, it was like living the dream.
Andre: I think I was too focused on basketball growing up, oops!
JM: Okay, I feel old, guys. Although I’m just Robi’s age.
So should we start asking your birthdates?
JM: No na, please!
Now, on to the next question, what is the #NewestBarkadaCraze you are individually passionate about? What do you do when you’re not busy making Filipinos kilig?
Robi: JM is the expert in that.

Yassi: For me, I take fitness seriously. Boxing is a forever favorite. And spending time with family.
Robi: Same here. I try to make it a point to spend a lot of time with my loved ones, dun lang ako nakakabawi eh.
JM: Yes, I agree, pare. Especially eating out, this is what I love doing with my friends. I’m also into music. I play the guitar.

All: The new Greenwich pizza flavor!
Robi: Pizza brings back so much memories from my late nights in college. (Laughs)
JM: Ako naman for my shoots. It’s usually when we do late night cuts that I crave for it… Nawawala pagod ko.
Andre: I surely miss my team back in high school basketball. Good times!
Yassi: Recently, we’ve been hooked to Greenwich’s Cheesy Steak and Fries Overload. It’s so good and we all love how it’s the ultimate comfort food.
Robi: Shocks, thinking about it now… the cheeses, the steak…
JM: Pare, potato strings!
Andre: Robi, not just cheese ha, three cheeses! My favorite is the touch of cream cheese, but of course, the cheddar and mozzarella seal the deal.
