Now that we have rung out the old and rung in the new, let’s take a quick look at what the stars in the sky have in store for earth-bound stars in this corner’s annual “halo-halong hula-hula” for the Year of the Monkey.
Blind items
• A TV show will undergo a major revamp (will heads roll?).
• Switching channels will continue, with stars jumping ober da bakod with glee.
• A couple (no, not just one but two, even three) will split up due to, sob and sigh, “irreconcilable differences.”
• Two couples will finally admit (unrepentant, hehehe!) what they have been denying (with a straight face, huh!).
• A young actress will get pregnant out of wedlock (so what else is new?).
• A young actor will “out” himself (unless his handlers prevail on him not to).
• Less than 30 percent of actors/actresses running in the May elections will have a reason to celebrate.
• A controversy will rock the movie industry and those involved risk being hauled to court.
• A TV host-producer will make an “important announcement” in the early days of the year.
• Fed up with her over-strict parents, a singer-actress will declare her long-overdue “independence.”
Wide-Awake Items
• The stork will pay Richard Gomez/Lucy Torres a surprise visit (about time since their only daughter Juliana is turning 16 on Sept. 8).
• Mariel Rodriguez will experience another delicate pregnancy (after two miscarriages), so she and husband Robin Padilla should be extra careful.
• Toward the end of the year, Pauleen Luna (who will be officially Mrs. Vic Sotto end of this month) will start infanticipating.
• Kris Aquino will be fascinated with somebody (looks like a foreigner) but that’s all there is to it…fascination. She will remain loveless, huhuhu!!!
• James Yap and Michaela Cazzola will march down the aisle together (not clear if it’s at their own wedding or that of their friends).
• Funfare’s Crystal Ball reveals an image of Senators Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada wearing a big smile…wonder why?
• BB Gandanghari will launch her tell-all book that spares nobody. Expect libel cases to swamp her!
• The AlDub phenomenon will last until most of the year.
• Gretchen Barretto will resurface on the showbiz scene in a “grand” style.
• Sunshine Cruz will fall again, but not with a suitor who’s a dead-ringer for her estranged husband Cesar Montano.
