It sounds like a broken record, played year in and year out, but it’s true and it will always be: Christmas is for the family. Jose Mari Chan’s new Christmas song aptly puts it: We go home to Christmas and the family.
As I’ve been saying, too, many people have dropped the tradition of greeting people with Christmas cards, no thanks to the advent of social media. Receiving cards can be more moving and meaningful than just being greeted via text message.
But a few still do send Christmas cards (yes, to this corner), some of them shown on this page. They are the families that stay together.
1. Johnny Revilla and wife Janet Basco with their children Jantu, Juliana, Franco and Marco.
2. Former DILG Sec./Presidentiable Mar Roxas and wife Korina Sanchez (minus Mar’s son Paolo who is in school in the US) with their pets Goya, Kolette and Chelsea.
3. Dawn Zulueta and husband Davao del Sur Rep. Anton Lagdameo, with their children Jacobo and Ayisha.
4. Julius Babao and wife Tintin Bersola with their children Antonia Sofia and Antonio Francesco.
5. Nina Zaldua-Raymundo and husband Nilo Raymundo (third and second from right) with their sons Rannie (third from left) and Lance (rightmost), Rannie’s daughters Regina and Marga (first and second from left), and Rannie’s wife Chary (fourth from left).
