These three equally talented young women are songwriters and “divas” in their own rights. Acel, Julianne and Abby take people to places, different eras and aspirations. For them, life is one beautiful song. Going on a sound trip means listening to music or simply jamming.
Acel, a singer and a songwriter, made an indelible mark in the OPM music scene with her hit songs Torete, Sulat and her version of Pag-ibig Kong Ito. She is popular for the English version of One Love, from the Korean TV drama series Spring Waltz that saw her music video raking in over a million YouTube hits. She was nominated for Best Inspirational Recording for a song she produced and arranged, Liliwanag. Acel celebrated her 20-year journey as a musician by mounting a successful concert last August at Teatrino, Greenhills. Acel also debuted as an author with her book, Who Would’ve Thought: Mga Pambihirang Pagkakataon, sharing milestones in her life. The book is aimed at sparking hope in people’s hearts, inspiring and encouraging young people as they search for love, security and purpose.
Julianne has been in the music industry since 2007 sharing her story through songs around the Philippines and Asia. Pegged as one of the inspirational artists who has spoken to the youth and women in her generation, she inspires with her testimonies of beauty, hope and courage. Her breakthrough single, Tulak Ng Bibig, broke all records when it was released in 2008. The single won for her Best Female Recording and Best New Female Artist at the Awit Awards in 2008. She went on to win the Top 3 slot for the Philpop tilt in 2013 with Sitti, and the Best World Music trophy also at the Awit Awards in 2014.
Alopecia awareness advocate Abby continuously inspires and encourages others by sharing her life’s testimony through her songs which uplift, empower and give hope to people with Alopecia and other disabilities and imperfections. The multi-talented young lady took the stage and was on fire when she performed for the judges ot The Voice of the Philippines in July 2013. Since then, she has been winning people’s hearts with her strength in facing her own challenges. Abby was named one of Mega magazine’s 10 Most Beautiful of 2014. She hosted Tekno Trip on TV5 with KC Montero. As a producer, Abby has conceptualized and mounted production shows like Strictly 90s. In 2012, she was named one of Dove’s Real Women. Her single, When I’m With You was Top 2 in Magic 89.9’s OPM countdown. Abby conquered the hearts of Singaporeans at the All That Matters Music Festival last May and performed at the National Alopecia Areata Foundation Conference in Garden Grove, California. Her latest album, Abby Asistio, has songs which she composed.
