MANILA, Philippines — Sharon Cuneta said her daughter KC Concepcion is a “good girl” despite their differences.
“We have differences. Hindi kasi palaging pareho kayo ng ugali ng anak mo, but my daughter’s a good girl. I think it’s normal na nagkakatampuhan ang mag-ina,” said Sharon in an interview with Boy Abunda in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on Thursday.
It could be recalled that Sharon had a misunderstanding with KC, and one of the issues they had was her daughter’s “sexy” photos.

They were able to settle their rift when KC visited her mom in the hospital who was confined for a few days.

The Megastar didn’t deny that there are times when she finds it hard to communicate with her daughter since they both have strong personalities.
“Ang hirap minsan to keep your voices low when discussing things because we’re both strong-headed,” she explained. “We’re both highly opinionated. We’re strong even though there’s a lot of love between us.”
Yet she still believes that “it’s okay to agree to disagree sometimes and respect each other.”
Sharon credits these lessons about parenthood to her deceased parents, Pablo Cuneta and Elaine Gamboa.
Although there are a lot of things she likes about their parenting style, she confessed that there are things she didn’t like about how they were raised. So she did her best “to be a better parent” to her four children.
“You always try to be better from the person who raised you, your parents. You want to be a better parent,” she said. “I always tell my kids na when you grow up, get married and have kids, you get from me what is good, what you enjoyed, what you loved and change what you didn’t like.”
“Kasi I’m not perfect, no one is,” she concluded. — Joyce Jimenez
