MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE 3) — Liezl Martinez, wife of actor Albert Martinez, passed away Saturday morning.
Martinez, 47, battled breast cancer for years and the cancer cells had spread to her lungs before she breathed her last at 6:15 a.m. in Medical City, Pasig.
Martinez passed away peacefully in her sleep, Pilipino Star Ngayon editor Salve Asis reported.

Her family said in radio reports that her funeral will be held at Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City.
Born Anna Lisa Sumilang Martinez, she was the daughter of showbiz legend Amalia Fuentes and cousin of actor Aga Muhlach.
Martinez served as part of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, or MTRCB, the past years
