Stars grace Paddington screening

Xian Lim is the voice of Paddington in the movie’s Philippine release

MANILA, Philippines - Paddington held a successful celebrity screening recently at Robinsons Magnolia. The celebrity guest list was headed by Xian Lim, who lent his voice to the title character, a young Peruvian bear, in the film’s Philippine release. The Star Magic actor was personally handpicked by Studio Canal, the producer of the Harry Potter films, to be the voice of the first international animated film distributed by Captive Cinema Distribution.

Among the Star Magic artists who attended the event were Claire Ruiz, Ynna Asistio, Yana Asistio, Pinoy Big Brother’s Fifth Solomon, Aina Solano and Maris Racal, Marlann Flores, Alora Sasam, Gimme 5’s John Bermundo and Joaquin Reyes, Bryan Homecillo, Emmanuel Vera, kids Yesha Camile, Chacha Cañete, Nhikzy Calma, Lance Lucido, Kyline Alcantara, Michelle Vito and Sofia Andres. Xian’s perennial onscreen partner Kim Chiu also graced the event. Media and Xian’s loyal supporters also came in full force at the event.

Also present were politcal counselor Stephen Lysaght from the British Embassy, Captive Cinema Distribution marketing head Maver Mayuga and Michelle Mapua, sister of Paul Poste, CEO and founder of Captive Cinema.

During the event, Xian expressed his gratitude to his Captive Cinema family for giving him an “amazing opportunity” to do Paddington. Xian also thanked his Star Magic family for allowing him to show another side of him.

Now showing in cinemas, Paddington stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Peter Capaidi, Jim Broadbent, Samuel Joslin and Nicole Kidman.
