MANILA, Philippines - Toni Gonzaga admitted that her boyfriend, Paul Soriano, has been planning to propose to her since 2009, but she stopped him.
“Kasi no'nng time na 'yon parang sabi ko hindi ko pa kayang iwan ang mga Mommy at Daddy, tapos si Alex din,” she explained in an interview with MJ Felipe aired in “Bandila” on Tuesday.
She added that she would like to have first her dream project with director Olivia Lamasan, which was the film “Starting Over Again” with Piolo Pascual, before getting engaged.
The two admitted that they were engaged on Sunday, in the showbiz talk show “The Buzz” on Sunday.
Although excited for the preparation of her wedding this year, Toni would like to finish first her romantic-comedy film with Coco Martin.
Toni said that the film's concept was hers and that she had pictured Coco portraying the leading man's role.
