MANILA, Philippines - The 2015 Miss Tourism Philippines search, headed by its founder and managing director Francisco Blanco Jr. and A1 Icon Production, Inc. president Chalrlie Liongson, was launched on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at the Luxent Hotel in Timog Ave., Quezon City. With the support of Department of Tourism, the pageant aims to showcase our heritage and culture and promote the beautiful places and spots in different region.
A representative from 81 provinces will vie for two coveted titles, Miss Tourism Universe (winner will compete in Beirut, Lebanon in August) and Miss Tourism World (to compete in Japan in December); and four runners-up.
Graced by last year’s titleholder and 2014 Miss Tourism World Best in Evening Gown winner Cindy Madumma (photo), the search will culminate in a grand coronation night on July 25. — Text and photo by Celso de Guzman Caparas
