Kamikazee to disband after 2015

MANILA, Philippines - Rock band Kamikazee will break up after the year ends.

This, the band announced via a video message posted on their official Facebook account on Sunday.

“Bale, ngayon pong lima, nag-desisyon kaming lima na 2015, ito na muna ang huling taon na magkakasama tayo dahil gusto naming subukan ang buhay-buhay sa labas ng banda, yung mga tri na pwede pa namin gawing iba,” band frontman Jay Contreras said in the video.

“Wala po kaming away sa loob ng banda. Masaya kami sa naging desisyon namin,” the band further said.

 

Kamikazee was formed during the early 2000s and is composed of Jay Contreras, Led Tuyay, Jomal Linao, Puto Astete and Bords Burdeos.

The band recorded four albums, including 2006's “Maharot” which had hits such as “Narda,” “Chiksilog” and “Martyr Nyebera.”
