MANILA, Philippines - Remember when USA’s Erin Brady made a buzz last year for dressing up like Optimus Prime for the Miss Universe? Well, it’s Miss Canada’s hockey-inspired costume's turn to be in the spotlight this year.

Twenty-year-old Miss Canada Chanel Beckenlehner of Caledon, Ontario left everyone in awe when she strutted her way to the stage while donning a hockey-inspired costume for the national costume competition.

Apart from the 10 hockey sticks attached and spread like wings on her back, the costume also includes a working electronic scoreboard headdress and a goalie-inspired mini skirt.

As of this posting, netizens continue to share their appreciation and disgust over the costume through the microblogging site Twitter.
