Bamboo joins Jollibee’s roster of endorsers

MANILA, Philippines - Jollibee ushers in 2015 with a big bang by beefing up its roster of brand ambassadors with the addition of The Voice Philippines coach Bamboo Mañalac (photo). Bamboo has reaped success as a respected musician and world-class performer with a number of best-selling albums and sold-out concerts under his belt. Throughout his more than two decades in the local industry, the artist continues to reinvent himself and his music, reflecting his deep passion for his craft.

But apart from being the rock star that people idolize, there is another side to Bamboo that not many know about. “People always associate musicians with being cool or astig. They think we’re unapproachable, but I’m really just a regular guy who enjoys the simple things in life,” he said.

Bamboo is all set to reveal more of his more personal side in his latest TV commercial as endorser of Jollibee’s Garlic Pepper Beef. “I’m excited for people to see this TVC because it’s a way for them to get to know a different side of me,” said the singer. “Like any other Pinoy, I work hard and do my best in what I do. And after a long day of work, all I want is a satisfying treat that I can enjoy without spending too much.”

Aside from Bamboo, Jollibee endorsers include fellow The Voice Philippines coach Sarah Geronimo, The Voice Kids Top 4 Lyca Gairanod, Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo and Darlene Vibares, Nadine Lustre and the family of Carmina Villaroel, Zoren Legaspi, and their twins Mavy and Cassy. “It makes me so proud to be in the company of these admirable personalities and endorse such an iconic homegrown brand,” said Bamboo.

“We’re very happy and honored to welcome another superstar, the talented Bamboo Mañalac, to the Jollibee family,” said Jollibee VP for marketing Harvey Ong. “Despite his success, Bamboo remains modest and down-to-earth, making fans like me admire him even more.”
