MANILA, Philippines - With Christmas fast-approaching, Star City visitors will be in for brand-new treats as the park unveils its newest attractions.
At the Toy Chest, children will meet their favorite storybook characters in gigantic proportions. Step into a magical world where the toys are larger than the children themselves. A gigantic doll, a huge crayon box, a humongous radio player and a jumbo teddy bear welcome visitors at the entrance, with even more surprises awaiting inside.
Snow World brings chilly polar fantasies to life with ice carvings of mammoths, polar bears and other animals standing in majestic glory amid the snowfall, which likewise envelops Asia’s longest ice slide.
Fast-becoming favorites among park visitors are the thrill rides — Star Flyer and Star Frisbee. The park also boasts of the country’s tallest ferris wheel, a sight to behold in the Manila Bay landscape with its multi-colored kaleidoscopic lights, drawing visitors to savor a ride up the air-conditioned wagons for a bird’s eye view of the metropolis.
The Wacky Worm, Blizzard, Viking Ship, Jungle Splash, Telekombat and Bump Cars are among the other rides the kids gravitate to, apart from attractions like Pirate Adventure, Magic Forest and the Dungeon. The amusement park also boasts of a tag arena called Lazer Blaster, which both children and adults can enjoy.
Star City is open from 4 p.m. onwards Mondays to Thursdays, and from 2 p.m. onwards on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Entrance alone is at P65 per person and P420 for a ride-all-you-can ticket. Visitors can also avail of the special promo called Three Cheers, which entitles visitors to three rides of their choice.
