MANILA, Philippines – Bb. Pilipinas-International 2014 Bianca Guidotti is using the pressure she feels for the upcoming Miss International 2014 pageant as an advantage in the competition.
The 25-year-old beauty queen is currently in Japan in preparation for this year's Miss International pageant, which will be held on November 11. She will compete with 75 other delegates for the crown.
Bianca has every reason to feel pressured as she succeeds last year's Philippine delegate Bea Rose Santiago, the reigning Miss International titleholder.
“It's a lot of pressure. A back to back win has not been done in Miss International before. So if I do this, it's gonna be history,” Bianca told Philstar.com in a recent interview.
She adds: “But I also find it something that's good for me. All eyes are on me, so I don't have to fight for anyone's attention. What I have to do is give them what they're looking for and actually give them more than what they're looking for.”
“I believe the only way for me to win the crown is if I believe I am undeniably the sole candidate who can win the crown.”
Is Bianca confident she will perform well in the competition? “I am confident I will give my best,” she said.
Aside from the training given to her and fellow Binibining Pilipinas 2014 titleholders, Bianca received valuable advice from current Miss International Bea Rose.
“She said I should study, I should prepare. I'm a very happy-go-lucky girl. Binibining Pilipinas was my first pageant, so I really took everything very lightly. I had fun with it. For me, it was just like, 'You know what, this is what I'm gonna do, I'm just gonna give it my best.' But for Miss International, it's something serious. So I'm really studying. I'm really, really studying,” she said.
Bianca is not the only beauty queen this year who will try to get a back-to-back win for the Philippines, as the country holds the 2013 Miss World and Miss Supranational crowns.
