MANILA, Philippines - Ken, the brother of Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson, auditioned for TV5's talent search show “Artista  Academy” but didn't make it to the top 16 contenders.

Yet that audition opened a number of opportunities for him, like the indie film “ Marka,” which also served as a campaign against bullying.

Now, he will star opposite Isabelle de Leon in TV5's “Wattpad Presents: Diary ng Hindi Malandi, Slight Lang,” which will air on Monday, November 10.

He play the role of Prince Leroy, a popular basketball player, who is the love interest of Pipay (Isabelle).

“It was nerve-wracking,” Ken said in an interview on Thursday, when asked how was the experience doing a TV show. “It was really fun, and when I found out that Isabelle is going to be my co-star, I was all go kasi she makes my job easier.”

Since he's trying out TV shows, comparisons with his older brother Gerald is inevitable.

“Of course naman, we know na at the end of the day they're going to compare us,” he acknowledged. “Pero right now I'm just focused on what I do.”

Aside from this TV series, Ken is also busy promoting the Cinema One Originals horror film “Bitukang Manok.”
