MANILA, Philippines - House of Obagi (HOO) recently held its Holiday Soiree 2014 at SM City Pampanga’s Trade Hall. The invite-only party underscored the brand’s passion for educating its patients more about their skin and providing holistic solutions to skin and beauty concerns. It featured talks from four of HOO’s esteemed dermatologists.
HOO turned SM Pampanga’s Trade Hall into a winter wonderland, with white curtains creating the effect of snow while thousands of artfully-installed lights gave the venue a sophisticated western holiday atmosphere. Obagi products were given out as tokens and three lucky attendees went home with an Obagi Travel Set, an Obagi NuDerm System and an Obagi 360 system.
The event was concluded with a mini-concert by Nanette Inventor, one of the finest Cabalen artists of all time. Nanette brought the house down and, by the end of her set, sent all the guests to their feet, dancing and singing along with her.
“Essentially, we’re doing this to thank the Cabalens for always being there for HOO,” shares Dr. Trina Pineda-Allado, HOO SM Pampanga’s lead dermatologist. “The SM Pampanga clinic is HOO’s first outside of Metro Manila, and since its doors opened in 2010, the Cabalens have given us nothing but overwhelming support and trust.”
She adds, “Back in August, we moved our SM Pampanga clinic to a bigger and more accessible location near the supermarket so we can accommodate more patients. This, of course, underlines our commitment to make sure that we take care of every person that walks into our doors and that we take care of them well.”
HOO is known for equipping its patients with the knowledge to better understand their skin and for offering skin programs that work by going right to the source of the problem. During its Holiday Soiree, the brand held four simultaneous skin talks to emphasize these two core principles that the company lives by.
Some of the programs highlighted during the event included 360 Lift 3D, HOO’s acclaimed 360 series, and the various peels and body treatments offered by HOO.
360 Lift 3D is a groundbreaking anti-aging program exclusively offered by HOO. It works by treating the different layers of the skin using an armamentarium of medical treatments such as a patented RF Comfort Pulse technology which contours and tightens the face as well as stimulates collagen production; Botox, which helps diminish wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing facial muscles; Hyaluronic acid fillers, which help bring volume back to certain areas of the face; medical-grade peels, which renew the top layer of the skin, revealing a younger, smoother and more radiant complexion; and the Obagi 360 system, which completes the transformation by boosting each individual treatment’s effects at home. The program is for men and women, of all skin types, who want to experience dramatic transformation in as early as 12 weeks.
Dr. Mae Guzman, one of the reconstructive surgeons who will be practicing at HOO Center for Dermatology, says dermatology and cosmetic surgery often go hand in hand. “Usually, patients seek dermatologists for their skin problems but they may also have additional concerns about other parts of their body which are beyond the dermatologist’s scope. In such cases, the dermatologist can refer the patient to a plastic surgeon for further management of those concerns. For example, there are certain aspects of an aging face (such as the jowls) that cannot be addressed by dermatologic procedures alone and will need incisions and some pulling of the skin, fascia and muscle to fight the effect of gravity,” she says.
HOO has branches at Greenbelt 5, TriNoma, Alabang Town Center, SM City North Edsa, SM Bacoor, SM Pampanga, Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Galleria, Greenhills Shopping Center, Festival Supermall and newly-opened HOO 831 EDSA.
