Sony Channel: Female-skewed, male-inclusive channel

“How to Get Away With Murder, “Jane the Virgin,” and “Manhattan Love Story” are just few of their program offerings.

MANILA, Philippines — A channel that is “fresh, confident, and stylish”— this is the look that the Sony Chanel aims to project.

Having recently launched in the Philippines, Sony Channel offers “female-skewed, male-inclusive” programs to their viewers, which is a perfect match to their partner channel AXN that offers more male-oriented shows.

The genres of shows they offer are divided in to four categories: international dramas, light entertainment, reality and game shows, and movies.

Most of their international dramas are first-run and award-winning series with a female lead star. Light entertainment shows are sitcoms and romantic comedies that ladies out there enjoy.

Viewers also get to enjoy the popular and latest game and reality shows that they have to offer. They also offer romantic comedies and feel-god movies perfect for weekend relaxation.

Some of the TV dramas that are lined up to air this October are “How to Get Away With Murder,” “Jane the Virgin, “ “Madam Secretary,” “The Night Shift,” and “Nashville.” Also included is the romantic-comedy series “Manhattan Love Story.”

Some of the reality and game shows they offer are “Cupcake Wars,” “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” and “Minute to Win It” which is now hosted by Apolo Ohno.
