MANILA, Philippines - “Friends lang sila,” said Honey Avelino when asked if his brother Paulo Avelino and rumored girlfriend KC Concepcion would walk down the aisle first before her.
During the press conference for the ABS-CBN's reality show “I Do” on Wednesday, Honey, the elder sister of actor Paulo, was grilled about the real romantic status of her brother and actress KC.
But the 28-year-old reality show contestant merely echoed Paulo's statements. “Friends lang po,” Honey said Paulo and KC.
Honey said she has not met KC, who Paulo has already brought to their hometown Baguio City. But she approves of the actress if ever Paulo wants to be with the “Ikaw Lamang” star in the future.
“Actually si KC naman, she's very pretty, mabait. I haven't met her personally, but I think I would want to get to know her more if Paulo really wants her or they want to be together in the future,” she said.

She has, however, met Paulo's son Aki several times. “Madalas po namin siya mameet... First apo ng parents namin. Naunahan ako,” Honey said.
A reality show that features couples battling for their dream wedding along with other prize packages, “I Do” is down to its last five couples—business partners Honey and Emil, models Christian and Chelsea, Filipino-Korean couple Jimmy and Kring, Neighbors-turned-lovers Chad and Sheela, and radio DJ Karen and businessman Chris.
A number of the contestants are open to enter showbiz after the reality show.
“If may opportunity, why not naman po, di ba? Gusto ko naman. Pero yung sa kasal, it won't be a hindrance kasi may deadline si Emil,” Honey said.

Models Christian and Chelsea are also willing to give showbiz—or whatever doors open after the show—a try.
“I was supposed to go to LA for my master's this year. But we met in a commercial and nag-iba yung plans ko. So I really want to stay here, for career, for business. Basta we're together,” Chelsea said
Win or lose, the couples say they're still planning to head to the altar after “I Do.”
“Regardless po kung manalo o matalo, before mag December 31, 2014, for sure (ang wedding),” Kring said.
“I Do” airs Saturdays after “Maalaala Mo Kaya” and Sundays after “Rated K” on ABS-CBN.
