MANILA, Philippines - Many Filipinos think that renting a house, an apartment, or a condo unit is the best way to save money. Not too many requirements are needed to be able to rent a place, and maintaining it does not entail a lot of responsibilities. What they don’t know is that renting has its problems. One of the most common is having scrupulous landowners who raise their rental fees despite prior agreements or contracts are made.
