Fashion on Wings

In 1961, Weekly Women’s magazine and Philippine Airlines (PAL) joined forces to mount Fashion on Wings, which traveled all over the country. Top socialites and designers participated in the event to mark the ninth anniversary of Weekly Women’s edited by Luisa Linsangan.

The models walked right on the PAL’s ramp (actual aisle) and also in fashion venues in Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Tacloban, Cagayan de Orio, Zamboanga, Davao and the final destination: Manila.

The models: Criselda Lontok, Melinda Shultze, Encarnita Abiera, Nina Garrido, Baby Jereza, Jojo Kierulf, Norma Serafica and Conchitina Sevilla.

The designers: Ben Farrales, Karlos Burgos, Casimiro Abad, Pitoy Moreno, Aureo Alonzo, Bert Hernandez, Imelda Reyes and Arturo V. Cruz.

Make-up artist was Nomer Pabilona.
