A thrilling road trip across Malaysia & Brunei

MANILA, Philippines - This month, History brings its audiences to some of the most exciting, offbeat spots in Asia with American biker chick Jaime Dempsey (photo), who embarks on a novel and immersive travel experience as she explores East Malaysia and Brunei on her Harley-Davidson on the return of reality adventure series Ride N’ Seek, which premieres its all-new second season tomorrow night at 9.

Hitch into the world of Ride N’ Seek and let it take you right into the thrill of motorcycle travel as Jaime cruises along the Pan Borneo Highway in search of gastronomic delights, nature escapades and exotic cultural exploits. It’s a road trip unlike any other as Jaime maneuvers her way into the heart of East Malaysia.

The epic trip kicks off in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak state in Malaysia. Here, Jaime arrives just in time for the Hari Gawai festival where she witnesses the local revelries with people in splendid, colorful costumes to celebrate a bountiful harvest. Jaime then journeys to Serian where she samples the ikan buntal or Malaysian style puffer fish. While considered poisonous, the local version is considered a Serian culinary specialty.

Finally, Jaime rides on to the small town of Spaoh where she spends a few days with the Iban community also celebrating the Hari Gawai. She lives in a traditional longhouse and even gets to participate in the rare Feeding the Dead ritual, in which offerings are made to the skulls of headhunted warriors.

Ride N’ Seek promises even more heart-stopping action as Jaime conquers even air and water with motorized paragliding and diving, along with encounters with endearing locals, in future episodes.
