MANILA, Philippines - Seizing the limelight away from the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2014 is Paolo Bediones. On July 28, 2014, Twitter was flooded with tweets on his alleged sex video. It even ranked number 1 among Philippine trends.

The anchor of Philippines’ TV5 network was tagged in a sex video with still-to-be-identified female.

It is currently six spots over the SONA on Twitter. Could this be an indicator the the Filipinos have lost their interest on the SONA 2014 because they already have lost their hopes that the president could improve his performance on his last years?

Someone even joked about the Paolo Bediones in the video.

And yes, they are calling the video, "50 shades of Paolo"

Paolo Bediones is yet to release his statement, but according to Kapatid network through philstar.com:

“The recent issue involving our news anchor Paolo Bediones on social media is a purely personal and private matter in which TV5 has no involvement or desire to intrude. We accord our employee and talents all respect that are due them for their privacy and personal action or decision.” “We disapprove strongly the malicious and wanton publication of the video, an act that clearly violates pertinent cybercrime laws.”

“We firmly express our support for our anchor Paolo Bediones in the face of a controversy that represents nothing more than an attempt to smear his reputation.”
