MANILA, Philippines - GMA Artist Center talent Gwen Zamora (photo) found herself flexing her acting muscles again for an Indonesian superhero film Valentine, just after starring in the recently-concluded GMA Afternoon Prime drama Innamorata.
Gwen took off for Indonesia after landing the role of Pink, the sidekick of Valentine’s archrival. She has recently undergone training for fight scenes — mastering kicks, knee strikes, punches and takedowns.
Despite the grueling training, Gwen appeared to have enjoyed her recent experience. She even posted bit parts of it on her Instagram account. In one of her video posts, she was seen getting hurt, but Gwen was keen to just brush it off.
“Perks of doing an action movie, you almost get to break your nose... Hahahaha #ouch #teamvalentine #skylarpictures,” captioned Gwen, referring to her failed stunt attempt. Eventually, the 22-year-old actress’ hard work paid off after nailing fight scenes. It also didn’t go unnoticed as she was lauded by her followers and friends.
The filming of Valentine is slated to kick off in Jakarta, Indonesia in September.
Gwen is no stranger when it comes to doing international movies. In 2012, she was at the heart of an action-horror film titled The Witness, which was produced by Indonesia’s Skylar Pictures and released by GMA Films.
