MANILA, Philippines - Make Valentine’s Day extra special as Festival Supermall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, lines up a series of activities to celebrate love on Feb. 14.
The Leggiero String Quartet serenades diners at Chef’s Avenue on the mall’s third level at 5 p.m. The group, which takes its name from the Italian music term meaning “graceful,†was founded by pianist and music professor Merlie Abrajano-Yapchulay and her husband, Engr. Joaquin Yapchulay. Its repertoire consists of standard jazz, Broadway, classical, OPM, contemporary pop and rock songs.
Diners at River Park, a 2,518-square meter natural feature that includes a cluster of al fresco dining outlets, an amphitheater, and a preview of the water gardens, are also in for a treat as violinist Bernie Pasamba performs at Melodies at The Park at the River Park Activity Court at 7 p.m. Pasamba is the musical director of the Bernie Pasamba String Ensemble, which has performed with local and international artists like Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow, Lea Salonga and Kuh Ledesma.
