JC de Vera stars in ABS-CBN's first teleserye of the year

MANILA, Philippines- After jumping from GMA network to TV5, JD de Vera is now a real Kapamilya as he stars in ABS-CBN's newest teleserye, "The Legal Wife."

JC will play the role of Max, the guy who will fall in love with Monica (Angel Locsin) and will comfort her on the lowest point of her life.

He stars in the teleserye with Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.

After leaving TV5 and signing a contract with ABS-CBN last year, JC was welcomed by the network with a role in the Star Cinema and 2013 MMFF entry “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” which stars Vice Ganda.

“Sobrang suwerte ko na mapunta ako dito sa ABS-CBN,” JC said in a recent interview when asked how does he feel in working on his first tele-serye as a Kapamilya.

He said that the adjustment with his new network is not hard since “itong mga kasama ko dito very inspiring sila, alam mong magagaling talaga sila. Tapos alam mo ‘yong trabaho ko talaga dito is wala, e, aarte ka na lang kasi maganda ang story.”

But just like the other members of the cast, JC feels the pressure since this is the first teleserye offering of ABS-CBN for this year.

“I am just happy na ipapalabas na,” he said. “This is it! Ito na ‘yong kaunahang TV soap opera na i-offer ng ABS-CBN sa first quarter. Siyempre malaking pressure ‘to to everyone kasi nga kami nga ‘yong mauna.”

“The Legal Wife” will start on January 27 at the Primetime block of ABS-CBN.
