During the press conference for the said movie last Tuesday, Janaury 7, the Kapamilya actress said in response to a question about the status of her relationship with on-screen partner Xian Lim: “We don't owe you any of our personal lives siguro.â€
She added, “You can think whatever you want to think as long as you're happy when you watch us on TV, nakikita ‘nyo kung paano kami ma-inlove, ganyan and 'yon na 'yon.â€
Her said statement garnered negative comments on social media and a gossip blog site allegedly that a member of the entertainment press walked out because of her answer.
But Kim defended her “controversial†comment and said she already apologized, entertainment news site Philippine Entertainment Portal reported.
“Nag-sorry naman ako. And siguro, na-misinterpret lang,†she said.
