G-Force instructional DVD now on sale

MANILA, Philippines - The instructional DVD Dance with G-Force was formally launched during the group’s jam-packed, well-orchestrated recital held at the Music Museum last October 31.

Conceived by G-Force Dance Center artistic director Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, the DVD displays in details the art of dancing according to the ways the group is known for. Its teaser shows the famed choreographer saying, “We are here to share with you the gift of dancing.”

It also features special appearances of A-list celebrities Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis and KC Concepcion.

The DVD launch is the culminating activity of G-Force Project 2013 Sembreak where the dance center’s top choreographers and students performed a variety of numbers classified according to dance styles like Hip-hop, Zumba, Jazz Funk, among others. The show, which opened with an amusing “selfie” themed number, is filled with hip music in tune to the snappy steps , including the group’s own track Pow Wow.

Dance With G-Force, with producer Angel Sy and director Jeff Forneste at the helm, showcases the talents of G-Force’s sub-groups, namely, Stallions, Femmes, Angels, Poppers, and Unique. At the forefront is Teacher Georcelle’s pool of dance instructors Sherwin Casepe, Jobel Dayrit, Ray-an Manglo, Ritz Beltran, Devon Batang and Gelannie Aguzar.

Casepe, a Political Science major who ended up joining every dance group during his school days, is optimistic that the DVD will be of great help to dance enthusiasts. He related, “It’s really a matter of excellence at what we do. No room for mediocrity.”

G-Force, its studio located at Unit 104, Corporate 101 Building along Mother Ignacia St., Q.C., established its name through regular appearances on ABS-CBN’s Sunday show ASAP. The business unit head Joyce Liquicia noted, “I admire the world-class artistry of the country’s youngest dance company who changed the dance scene on TV and in concerts... especially it’s moving vision to share their gift and talent to all aspiring dreamers.”
