MANILA, Philippines - CONFIRMED: Jennylyn Mercado and Luis Manzano have called it quits after more than two years of very public romance. Is there any third party on either side?
None, according to The STAR sources. ‘They simply fell out of love,’ they said. That simple? That fast?
Those close to Jennylyn and Luis are mum on the matter, only saying that either of the two will speak out ‘in the right time.’
Luis has been like a foster father to Jennylyn’s son Alex Jazz by Patrick Garcia (who himself has found a new love with whom he recently had a child) while Jennylyn has become like a member of Luis’ family, openly accepted and praised to high heavens by Luis’ mom, Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos.
The un-couple was supposed to take a vacation in New York late this year. The crack in the romance surfaced when, according to a travel agent, Luis has his round-trip ticket drastically changed to solo (minus Jennylyn, that is).
The two are the sixth couple to split up this year, after Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago, Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, Gian Magdangal and Sheree, and Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes.
Next on the chopping block? Your guess is as good as anybody’s. Clue: The more PDA (Public Display of Affection) a couple engages in, the more chances of them breaking up. Agree?
