Sam’s 1st business venture

MANILA, Philippines - Singer-actor Sam Milby has proven once more he’s not one to rest on his laurels. He just added another feather to his cap by inviting the press to the opening of his first business venture — a German restaurant and pub called Prost Braumeister.

The ABS-CBN heartthrob and premier Cornerstone talent is one of the owners of Prost which should be a welcome addition to the bustling gimmick district of Bonifacio Global City. Sam being part of the partnership certainly provides an added attraction as he is expected to frequently hang around the place.

“I want to try something new. I believe this is a good investment for me,” shared the star of Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala, who earned praises for his portrayal of the troubled Eros in the said series which wrapped up last August.

Prost, located at the ground floor of Fort Pointe Bldg., 26th Ave. corner Fifth Ave., Fort Bonifacio, in Taguig, is home to the finest sausages and German beer as it offers the cutely named The Hoff Burger, described as a manly sandwich (priced P380) inspired by the name of showbiz star David Hasselhoff.

Sam’s business partner Dom Hernandez has some positive thing to say about his famous co-restaurateur. “We can’t deny Sam’s celebrity status which is a good help to our business. But more than that, he’s a good friend and he has so much output for Prost.”

Prost is the German equivalent for “cheers!” while Braumeister is “master brewer.”

Hernandez added, “Beers here are all imported. Design-wise, it is half-modern, half-traditional with clean, straight lines and medieval-like chandeliers.”

The rest of Sam’s partners are Stefania Zanirato, Ryan Syjuco, Marc Von Grabowski and Edward Hernandez.

Sam’s fans will more than just get a hip, gastronomic treat when they choose to spend the chill-out hours at Prost. It’s likely that they get to interact with their idol, too. “Prost is a good place to hang out,” he assured, “I’m here a lot.”
