Pokemon musical: A trip down memory lane

MANILA, Philippines- Who would have thought that it has been fifteen years since the international cartoon show “Pokemon” was flashed on our TV screens?

The show’s undeniable success was proven through its film adaptation and the numerous forms and versions of games were created based on its characters.

From deck cards to Nintendo games, “Pokemon” has invaded the late 90s generation with a bang.

Now that it’s on its fifteenth year, brothers Vijay and Antonius Nazareth of AVByte have thought of creating a mini musical video about “Pokemon.”

On the video it could be seen real-life Ash and Misty, characters from the cartoon show, takes a clueless child to the world of “Pokemon.”

In an interview with Anita Hamilton, Vijay, 20, and Antonius, 24, admit that they were “Pokemon” fans during their childhood, but were not given the chance to play the game because of their mother’s restrictions.

Since there’s a possibility that the younger generation doesn’t really know about “Pokemon” but plays the game with their consoles, they’d thought of doing this musical video.

“A lot of younger kids weren’t exposed to Pokémon. The video gives them a quick recap of what it’s all about.

“We wanted to truly just convey the feeling and nostalgia that a lot of fans have about Pokémon.”

This video also marks the launch of the latest 3D version of the “Pokemon X &Y” which will come out tomorrow, October 12, simultaneously worldwide.
