MANILA, Philippines - Kim Chiu is on cloud nine after receiving the Best TV Drama Actress award in the recently-held third EdukCircle Awards for her portrayal in Ina Kapatid Anak. EdukCircle, organized by the International Center for Communication Studies (ICCS), was established to provide a platform for the monitoring and development of communication-related practices and practitioners in different fields, including television.
‘I’m very thankful to EdukCircle Awards for recognizing me as a drama actress. And of course, to ABS-CBN, Dreamscape and the whole staff of Ina Kapatid Anak for always bringing out the best in me,’ said Chiu who will topbill a Wansapanataym month-long special.
In the pilot episode of Wansapanataym Presents My Fairy Kasambahay this Saturday on TFC (Sunday in Australia, Guam and New Zealand) worldwide, Chiu will portray the role of Elyza, a young lady who is punished by the Fairy Mayordoma (John ‘Sweet’ Lapus) to become a maid because of her disrespectful attitude towards their house helpers. How will Elyza’s life change when she is given a taste of her own medicine?
Also in the Wansapanataym episode are Joseph Marco, Shamaine Buencamino, Miguel Vergara, Arnold Reyes, Simon Ibarra and Angel Aquino. It is written by Cris Lim and Arlene Tamayo, and directed by Jerry Sineneng.
