MANILA, Philippines - Julie Anne San Jose performed before an SRO audience at the Music Museum for her first major concert dubbed Julie Anne: It’s My Time!
Co-sponsored by Pharex HealthCorp, the country’s most prescribed unibranded generics medicine, the concert was a showcase of Julie Anne’s many talents — singing, rapping, dancing, songwriting and playing the piano and guitar.
Julie Anne treated fans to her rendition of hits like Written in the Stars, Girl on Fire, Clarity, Diamonds, Vavavoom, Hold On and Let Me Be The One. To the audience’s delight, she also performed with guest artists Addlib Dance Crew, Abra, and bestfriend Frencheska Farr.
But certainly one of the night’s best moments was her duet with loveteam partner Elmo Magalona, of the songs Bring Me To Life and Love The Way You Lie and a medley of songs from the Wazak musicale. Fans cheered and screamed for more, as the two showed palpable chemistry and talent.
Julie Anne also regaled the audience with the story of her life, told through photos and songs she handpicked. She played the piano while singing Unfaithful, A Thousand Miles and Beauty and Madness. Her last song was her very own composition, Deeper, one dedicated to her fans. The show would not be complete without her performing Price Tag and Superbass — which made her a YouTube Sensation — with an electrifying choreography.
Finally, she sang songs from her quadruple platinum album, including I’ll Be There, Bakit Ngayon, Enough and For Everything.
Pharex HealthCorp’s support of the two-hour show demonstrated its commitment to helping develop young Filipino talents. The concert, which will be aired soon on GMA 7’s Sunday Night Box Office (SNBO) was directed by Rico Gutierrez with musical direction by Marc Lopez and backup vocals by The Opera.
